Sunny Turmeric Latte
Made my first ever Golden Turmeric Latte inspired by my most awesome nutrition professional friend Mari at marifrengstad.com.
I didn't have MCT oil so instead used a high quality coconut oil, and added a splash of vanilla extract and a little Manuka honey ( this is optional! ) Used my hand blender to fluff it up and even my husband loved it ( and he's a tricky customer ) Thanks Mari!
My version of Mari's recipe is: ( serves 2 )
400ml of almond milk
2 tsp Turmeric
2 tsp of Cinnamon
1 tsp of Ground Ginger
A big pinch of cracked pepper
2 Tbsp of good coconut oil ( or MCT oil if you have )
A cap full of pure vanilla extract ( optional )
2 tsp Manuka honey ( optional! )
2 egg yolks
Put the almond milk and spices into a pot and heat gently, use hand blender to blend. Once warm through add the coconut oil, vanilla, honey and egg, blend again and serve. So lovely thick and comforting. And super healthy!!!
