Wear sustainable activewear.

When choosing workout clothing, opt for activewear that can serve more than one purpose. Grab leggings that can take you from the home office to running errands, or layers that serve as cozy lounge-wear as well as a warm layer you can grab for a walk in nature. Also, take a look at what your gear is made of and go for sustainably made products whenever possible. Go for minimal equipment.

Some of the best exercises you can do for your body require little-to-no equipment. Pare down your equipment to the most necessary items and scale back on energy-using machines to avoid cluttering your space. While the vast majority of our classes on BODYHIIT can be done with just a yoga mat ( we love YoYoga for their eco-friendly polyurethane yoga mats, a biodegradable material that’s far better for the environment than PVC, plus challengers get a 20% discount! ).. and depending on your workout practices & level of fitness-strength, you may want to also invest some select hand weights and mini resistance bands.. also try these at-home alternatives.. water bottles, cans, laundry detergent, a sack of rice or beans, bags of apples or onions, etc. For heavier weights, use a backpack filled with items from your pantry, rocks, or other heavy items. Use your best judgment and utilize substitutions that won’t spill or break.
